Expedition Health

Denver Museum of Nature and Science to open Expedition Health in Spring '09.

This past summer the Serac Adventure Films crew filmed for two exhibits in the upcoming permanent installation, "Expedition Health". The Body Trek component of the display will be an object theater with a 24 foot wide screen. The 12 minute film will examine the physiological changes that take place on a trek up Mt. Evans, a Colorado 14er!

Serac Adventure Films worked with GW Hannaway in Boulder to create a dual Sony F900 CineAlta Panoramic HDCAM setup. The tripod alone to support this beast of a rig weighed in at 65 lbs and took 6 people to transport! Science North, the Producer of the display will be working with Milkhaus of Denver to stitch together the images from the 2 Sony HDCAM's for the ultra-wide screen theater.

Serac Adventure Films worked on Expedition Health with:
