Charley
is a veteran mountaineer having climbed some of the most
challenging peaks in the world. He has summited three
8000 meter peaks including 8611m K2, a more technically
challenging and difficult climb than Mt. Everest. He has
also successfully guided 8028m Gasherbrum II in the Karakorum
range. Charley has seven Himalayan expeditions to his
credit and in 1998 he became the first American to climb
8163m Manaslu in western Nepal.
In
addition to his skills as a mountaineer, Charley is an
experienced still photographer and videographer.
Charley's photographs have appeared in Outside Magazine, Readers
Digest, the American Alpine Club Journal, and numerous
other mountaineering publications. Charley is currently
the CFO of Great
Trango Holdings, a company that
manufactures and distributes climbing and mountaineering
equipment in Boulder, Colorado. Also... ran twice in the first
wave of the Boulder Bolder 10K w/ blind marathon record holder Harry Cordelis,
very proud father of 3!!!!!, board of directors AAC
and Expeditions Committee chair.
